A young MD of one of the South West’s fastest growing aluminium fabricators will be taking on the infamous Tough Mudder obstacle course in order to raise money for a cancer charity.
Ben Warren, one of the directors of Bristol-based aluminium manufacturer, The Window Outlet, along with his wife and friends will be completing the course on 23rd August to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Action.
Ben, his family and friends have a very real reason for taking part: recently his father-in law was tragically diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Ben wanted to do something to support his wife and to help raise further awareness of the disease, and to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action charity; an organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
Tough Mudder is not for the faint-hearted. A team-orientated, gruelling 12 mile obstacle course, the event is designed to test physical endurance and mental determination. The overall race is not timed and instead places teamwork over rankings. Since starting in 2010, Tough Mudder has helped to raise more than £5million for charities across the UK, and more than 1.5million people have taken part, making it a very worthwhile cause.
You can donate money to Ben and his team’s Tough Mudder challenge via their Just Giving page.
