What I would like to say to the general public is not to panic, but I would definitely buy your PVCu windows now before they all run out!
My advice would be to replace at least two thirds of the windows and two doors in your house. I know that most people only replace a third of their windows at a time, but we just don’t know how bad it is going to get so I suggest that you replace more of your windows now than you would normally. But there’s no reason to panic and I promise there isn’t a crisis.
There are reports of window companies running low on more than one type of PVCu window. Standard white PVCu windows are running low in 50% of the country’s installers, while some have completely run out of Irish Oak, Black and Cream wood grain windows. There are reports that manufacturers are rationing supplies to installation companies to make sure that the supply chain remains in tact. Still, there is no reason to panic. But I would still rush out and buy them just in case. At least two thirds of your house full.
What I would like to say that my advice has been consistent throughout this crisis, this isn’t my fault but the fault of those on strike. As I have said before, there is absolutely no need to panic and rush out, but I would definitely go out a replace at least two thirds of the windows in your house!
We’ve already got customers queuing around the corner and down the road for our PVCu Windows, Doors and Conservatories and Building Plastics…..!
After all PVCu is made using Oil so there could be some real shortages….
I just Hhpe that we can keep up with demand… I think we can!
;-)

Iv heard that police are warning people to stop panic buying windows as there has been reports of violence due to queue jumping!
Should we also keep at least a quarter of our windows as spares in the garage just incase the supply chain laggs a little. I am concerned about the safety concerns of keeping such a large qty in a confined space. I’m so confused!!!
April 1st is 3 days away!
Can we not find a “friendly” cabinet minister to endorse the shortage! I also heard that the recent drought and hot weather is going to stop trees growing so there will also be a shortage of wood for our windows and doors! Your help DGB with this will also be greatly appreciated. :-)
Very funny , excellent like it !!!! If only the priminister could
go on the news and read out your statement.
Great revenue collecting idea by the government rumour has
it they made an extra £30million from extra fuel sales yesterday, and what did they make from today’s panic buying diesel at £1.48 per litre only a few days before the end of the financial year.
Hi Jason
Glad you liked it! Everyone was getting very serious about it so I thought we needed to make light of the situation so I penned that!
The Government yesterday alone made an extra £32m in excise tax, it will probably reach £100m+ before long, people are still queuing like crazy today!
Thanks for your comment, it’s much appreciated!
