I didn’t get chance to go the this years Locksmith Expo. In fact, I’ve never had chance to go to any Locksmith Expo since I’ve been working, which is a shame because this exhibition seems to command a lot of respect and a big following. Something which previous double glazing exhibitions have failed to achieve. Contributor to this blog, advertiser and general all round respected locks and hardware company UAP have spoken to me and gave me their view on the exhibition:

Bigger and better than ever, The Locksmith Exhibition 2012 was a huge hit for the industry in general and for TradeLocks (www.tradelocks.co.uk) in particular.

Sales Director Chris Pankhurst says it was the best event ever for leading tool and security experts TradeLocks, who featured an exclusive exhibition range of must-have products at exclusive discounted show prices.

With the TradeLocks stand teeming with visitors throughout, thanks to a host of not-to-be-missed discounts and stacks of freebies, it was one of the busiest stands at the show which took places at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham.

“The Locksmiths’ Exhibition is always one of the key industry events of the year and once again it was a very successful one for TradeLocks,” says Chris. “We picked up a record number of orders and our new products were really well received.

“Personally it was great to see a number of returning customers from previous exhibitions but we also met a number of new customers too. My lasting impression was just how well respected TradeLocks has become in the industry.

“Of course, one of the reasons people come to exhibitions like this is the opportunity to get their hands on the very latest products and pick up some special deals and we were determined not to disappoint anyone.

“From our point of view this was the biggest and most successful Locksmiths’ Exhibition and a lot of the credit has to go to Mick Friend and his team for organizing the event and ensuring a fantastic weekend for both exhibitors and attendees. There is an awful lot of work that goes into making events like this a success and they made sure there was a real buzz about the place throughout the two days.”

TradeLocks Sales Executive Andy Bolton said: “I’ve been to a number of exhibitions since joining TradeLocks in 2009 and this was one of the most successful.

“I really enjoyed being able to meet customers and put names to faces. It was also a good chance for people who wanted advice from our sales team to have a chat and for visitors to see live product demonstrations.”

TradeLocks is one of the most respected names in the security market, with a reputation built by working hand in hand with the leading names in the industry to develop a product range that is designed solely with a Locksmith’s needs in mind.

Innovative product development, quality manufacture and first class customer service are now the hallmarks of the TradeLocks brand. The Signature Range epitomizes the TradeLocks approach. It features tools devised by some of the most respected figures in the locksmith world — the likes of Martin Pink, Chris Belcher, Don Braidwood and Nigel Tolley.
