Good news! Our mortgage application has been given the go ahead! That is another big hurdle overcome on the way to us moving into our first home :-)
I will be honest, this whole process is making me very anxious. It’s not that it’s because we have anything to worry about. But because of the time it takes. Everything takes days or weeks, and for anyone who knows me, you’ll know how impatient I am!
Still, things are moving steadily along. Checks of all varieties are ongoing and we even now have a provisional completion date of 25th October, though I am fully aware that this could change – though if it does I would hope it would be sooner!
Other than that there isn’t really much else to report on. A valuation from the mortgage providers is about to take place, along with continuing conveyancing checks. As always I’ll keep posting updates on here!
great news mate…..best of luck, its true, its the most stressful thing that you will ever do in your life, hopefully though your going to be there for another good few years….and not have to go through it again for a long long time!
Thanks Mark :-) it’s not been to stressful so far, but we’ve not moved yet so I am fully preparing myself lol!
great news. you should be in for Christmas then :)
Yep! All being well! You are invited for a drink next time you are up this neck of the wood! :-)
Good luck Bud , I hope it all goes well for you
Thanks a lot Kevin! Much appreciated!
Major life ladder to get on – The Housing Ladder. Can only go onwards and upwards during your life if you continue sensible. Make sure the removal boxes are labelled with the room locations in the new house so that can get started well straight away without a jumble.

Good for you
