I’m a fan of all things green and kind to the climate, and this infographic shows us the nifty little ways we can all chip in to make a different. Although not all the tips above relate to our industry directly, it does demonstrate that the huge amount of glass we use does need to be handled better and disposed of more with more thought to wider environment.

I’m all for upcycling, particularly with glass, so it’s nice to see this post. Always good to see a few new photos and ideas, though a couple of those like the slumped plate and bowl do require some much more specialist tools than indicated, like fusing kilns, and timings/costs are a bit optimistic. Oil lamps look great, but do need to come with a huge danger warning, as they cause horrific burns to children and potentially lethal fires in less developed countries like India where they are widely used still.
