Window Ware is pleased to announce a new product launch, the Libra electronically operated smart cylinder lock from ISEO.
Recent years have seen the rise of near field communication (NFC) enabled devices such as transport card readers, computer game figurines, and quick contactless payments. Now the same handy technology can be used for door access control cylinder smart locks from ISEO, ideal for fitting to new doors, but can also be easily retrofitted.
This stylish electronic access control system combines NFC technology with Bluetooth connectivity to allow quick access or remote access from up to 10m away.
The free to update Argo App gives access to all Libra operated doors allowing users to open doors remotely, see who accessed doors at certain times and to give access to specific NFC devices such as credit cards, smartphones, and smart watches. The previous 1,000 events are logged on the Libra device and can be emailed out through the app for monitoring purposes. Up to 300 people can be managed through the App with different access levels possible on different doors for different users so perfect for any commercial applications.
The Libra electric cylinder is easy to retrospectively fit into doors with European cylinder locks, and runs directly off internal batteries which have a three year guarantee of longevity. This stylish Italian designed and manufactured lock is secured with anti-drill and anti-break technology and is heavy duty. The security features have been awarded the highest level of international classification, certified to IP66 grade.
All Libra door locks are available in several colours and finishes and have streamlined, aesthetic designs which easily adapt to all architectural and furnishing styles. Suitable for industrial, domestic and residential locations, the locks use visual and audible feedback to ensure seamless usability for all age ranges and user types.
The Libra is an environmentally friendly product, being awarded the ISO14001 certificate, consisting of 100% recyclable easily separable materials and having lead-free soldering resins.

I shall be posting an initial reactions article right here on DGB very soon. This sort of technology should be where the future lies, and I’ll be interested to get into the nitty gritty of this product soon.
This looks like a very interesting product, anything like this is really exciting in my opinion. However I think a lot more information is required and even a detailed review (Maybe DGB could do one?!) I can certainly think of a lot of potential problems too. What happens when the internal battery dies, will you be warned before hand? (edit – quick Google search revels it does warn you of a low battery) can it be replaced? will you be potentially locked out? what mobile operating systems does the app support? Given this uses a smartphone app, how many years… Read more »
Thanks for your comment on this exciting new product!
I shall be doing a variety of reviews over the coming days and weeks. I will also be aiming to get hold of one myself and review it properly. There are many questions at this stage, but nothing the guys at Window Ware shouldn’t be able to answer.
Technology like this is going to become a mainstay in the door industry, and this is one of the most interesting developments I’ve seen for a while!

Hi All, To answer your questions: – Yes the product is audio and visual and will warn of a low battery. The cylinder has an internal thumb turn for a quick egress but should the power run out the external knob will just spin around preventing access from the outside. – The argo app supports currently iOS and android… Read more »
Hi Robert,
Thank you for the additional information, that answers a lot of questions!
This is certainly a product to keep an eye on, especially as our homes become more connected with “Internet of Things” devices.
What is the security rating for this cylinder regarding anti snap , forgive me if i have missed anything but it mentions no star rating and the cylinder looks like a std cylinder around the cam and screw fixing. TIA
