If there is a single event to attend in the fenestration calendar in this country in 2016 it is the FIT Show. The exhibition dedicated to the UK window and door industry has grown to become the premier 3-day event that all companies exhibiting and all visitors gear up for. So why is it all about those few days this year?
A focus on growth
The festivities for 2016’s FIT Show begin on April 12 and end on the 14th. With more hall space filled there are more companies exhibiting this year than in any previous show.
But the real focus for those exhibiting and those visiting will be for growth of their own businesses. For the companies with stands, they will be looking to secure new business from visitors who have yet to find out what certain companies can offer them. That is the whole point of this show of course. To demonstrate to the whole industry, not just existing customers, that their product portfolios can help installers sell more windows and doors to the general public, and for suppliers to help fabricators make more products to be sold further down the chain.
For visitors, it is their perfect chance to see what the UK window and door industry has to offer them. It’s their chance to cherry pick the best new products on the market right now with the aim to increase sales in their own businesses by expanding the range of products they sell.
For many companies exhibiting at the upcoming show, this is going to be the best time to launch and demonstrate brand new products. So what we might find is that new product announcements are a bit thin on the ground pre-April.
However I will be expecting a whole raft of new products to be announced during the show, and I will be doing my best to get round them all and give them the full DGB treatment during and after the three day event.
The Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show takes place at The International Centre Telford on 12th, 13th 14th April 2016. Visitors can reserve their free tickets now by visiting: http://www.fitshow.co.uk/reserve-your-tickets. General information on The FIT Show can be found at: www.fitshow.co.uk.
