A Stockport based window, door and conservatory manufacturer is celebrating ‘very healthy’ end of year trading figures.

Alexander Windows’ Associate Director Lauren Tutton says that the family run business is benefiting from growth across both its retail and trade divisions, with sales of Guardian Warm Roofs and Rock Door composite doors particularly strong.

The business, which turns over £5million, is up 5% percent in sales compared to the previous twelve months.

A Kömmerling fabricator for over twenty-five years, Lauren has been working alongside her father and Managing Director Steve Wood for nearly 10 years and is fiercely ambitious for the business.

Lauren comments: “We’re starting to see green shoots in the industry after a few difficult years for everybody. Consumer demand is holding up and our trade customers are busier than ever, so we’re not yet seeing any negative impact from ‘Brexit’.

“Clearly we don’t know exactly what the long-term impact will be, but I’m confident going forward. The feeling is that our economy is becoming more robust and productive, and we’re focusing very much on the positive”

Going forward Lauren says that the company is set to add new staff to its already sixty-five strong payroll, with a new trade sales person set to join the company before Christmas.

The key to Alexander Windows’ success has been its unwavering commitment to first class service and craftsmanship.

Lauren explains: “Right from day one our business has been about quality and service and we’ve always been the best company for customers who want to get the job right first time. We’re not interested in a fit it and forget about it culture but offering the very best products and service at a fair price.”
