Job Position: Purchasing Assistant
Job Description:
A manufacturer and installer of uPVC windows and doors to some of the UK’s major house builders in the Midlands, South West and Wales regions is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant based in Hereford.
As Purchasing Assistant your duties will include:
• Placing remake orders with suppliers
• Logging all remake orders onto ONYD spreadsheets
• Logging applicable non-conforming reports onto Non-Conforming Product Report spreadsheet
• Raising collection notes for items that need to be returned to suppliers
• Booking in delivery notes for all new and remake orders
• Chasing any outstanding items not delivered with suppliers
• Chasing up order acknowledgements not received with suppliers
• Logging order acknowledgements onto the system
• Creating daily delivery schedules for the factory
• Placing former orders to suit requested delivery dates
Candidates applying for this role must have previous purchasing experience. A working knowledge of the glazing industry is advantageous but not essential.
