Kettering-based logistic firm Knights Of Old Limited has been placed into administration, with the loss of 730 jobs. To the world of fenestration this matters as the company was used by some companies in our sector for their own logistic and delivery services.

This follows on from the demise of Tuffnells just a few months ago: https://www.doubleglazingblogger.com/2023/06/tuffnells-falls-into-administration-threatening-delivery-disruption-to-uk-fenestration/

A statement on the KNP Logistics Group website, the company that owned Knights Of Old:

170 staff have been retained through the sale of Nelson Distribution Limited.

Knights Of Old was one of the UKs oldest logistics companies, originally founded in 1865. However the group that owned Knights Of Old suffered a major cyberattack in June of this year which caused serious disruption to the business. It is now clear that the damage was lasting.

It is not clear that the closure of the business is going to have any major effects on the UK fenestration sector, with a number of companies within the industry using Knights Of Old for their services.
