Job Position: Technical Support Manager
Job Description:
Kawneer is a major player in the UK facade and fenestration sector. From its UK HQ in Runcorn, it extrudes aluminium profiles, inserts thermal breaks before powder coating in its own environmentally friendly paint plant.
Reporting to the Technical Director, this role is to have ‘hands on’ co-ordination of the varied activities within the Technical Support team.
The successful candidate will need to have the following skills:
• People Management
• Extensive product knowledge.
• Practical experience (e.g. sites, testing & dealer visits).
• General industry & associated product knowledge (e.g. glass, sealants etc).
• Contractual knowledge
• Good understanding of building Physics
• Good understanding of structural considerations and application
• Window/Door Hardware
• Glass and Glazing
• Acoustics
• Thermal Performance
• Security Enhancement
• AutoCAD 2d
