As supplier, it is important that your customers are kept up to date with all the latest products, initiatives and regulations that come to affect us on a daily basis. And in October, John Fredericks ran 3 very successful seminars to brief it’s customers on what it is doing for them.

The three seminars were held in Dartford, Leeds and Swindon. I attended the Leeds seminar which by judging the seats at the table, was a full crowd. The seminars were held for a number of reasons. To introduce a large range of new products and the options they come with. To talk about the Green Deal so that customers of John Fredericks could decide whether it was something they want to get involved with. And to explain the upcoming CE marking regulations that are coming to all of us in the summer of 2013.

The CE Marking talk was a helpful one as it explained what it is, why it is and when it will be coming to us. It’s not the most interesting subject but it is an important one so in the near future I shall be putting up a new page on this site with everything you need to know about CE marking.

The seminars were also a chance for John Fredericks to introduce the new marketing strategies and materials they are bringing in. One of the flagship changes is the brand new website. The old Fredericks site was rather old, but after an injection of life and new design, the new Fredericks site is looking far more modern, refreshed, clean and easy to use. I would advise you to register to their online newsletter to be notified of new products and other announcements.

John Fredericks were also able to show off their new and expanded Suffolk range and the marketing materials that came with it. Fredericks has actually built their own mini exhibition of the Suffolk range as well as the new up-and-over windows, new low ali thresholds for bi-folds as well as many other nifty improvements and advancements. It’s alright going to these events but if there is nothing there for you to look at then what’s the point? The exhibitions for me were the best part. That’s what most of us were there for, to see the new products, and we were not disappointed.

The feedback from all three of the seminars has been very positive. All well attended and great reviews of the new products announced by Fredericks. Even the lunch was spot on! Sometimes the food at these things can be a bit boring, a bit bland and a bit lackluster! The food was that nice I thought it rude if I didn’t have a second plate. Didn’t want anything to go to waste of course so I was just “doing my bit”!
