I’m coming to the end of my phone contract and I’m able to upgrade my phone within the next two weeks. Question is, what do I go for?

Android phones seem to have a good chunk of the market at the minute. Lots of high quality Samsung phones are around at the minute, and the friends I have that have them seem to be more than happy with them. My good friend @RobinEley88 also has a windows phone and he has had no complaints about that.

The other thing I’m having to consider is that I really need to get a new computer. I’m currently working off my laptop but I need something far more portable, with a far longer battery life. So I need a tablet computer. Ideally I’d like the phone to integrate with the tablet.

I could go for another Blackberry as they do the PlayBook, their version of a tablet, which can integrate into each other. I have been happy with my current Blackberry as it’s done a good job with my business and blog emails. But I know others phones now have just as good a capability. Blackberry’s are let down by their screen not being as good a quality as many other handsets. Browsing speed is slower, the available apps are far smaller in number compared to the Android market or Apple’s App Store.

So I could go for an Android operated phone as there are many other tablets which have Google’s Android operating software – so can be integrated together. But if I’m going for a new phone and tablet purely for the reason of integration, it has to be Apple. All their products can now be integrated using their new iCloud service.

Apple’s screen and touch quality are amazing. It’s ease of use makes using them for work just as easy. And for a salesman, being able to use a tablet computer will make selling to customers a lot easier.

I’ll be getting a new phone within the next couple of weeks. All suggestions are welcome!
